Rain House

Make rain the reason, not the problem.

A six-metre courtyard had to hold circulation, drainage, privacy, and a view from every room. We gave water a visible path—from roof chain to stone basin to planted infiltration bed.

Alder Slope

Turn a difficult grade into a sequence of rooms.

The original slope was inaccessible and shedding water toward the house. Five low terraces now hold an orchard, kitchen garden, play lawn, and native meadow while slowing every storm.

03 / Outdoor living

Cedar Court

Gather outdoors without leaving the garden.

A cedar armature extends the house into a sheltered court. The hearth anchors winter evenings; deep planting keeps the room connected to the coastal forest on every side.
