Plays in two folk bands and runs the Saturday teen band program. Teaches from songs first, theory second.

Piano & composition · ages 5 and up
Writes scores for two Portland theaters. His students compose a short piece every term.
David Okafor
Voice · ages 8 and up
Sings with the Portland Opera chorus and coaches musical‑theater auditions every spring.
Eli Brandt
Electric guitar, bass & drums · ages 9 and up
Session player for twenty years. Very patient with the neighbors, who have heard a lot of drum fills.
Walter Hale
Guitar · head of school · ages 7 and up
Opened Wrenfield in 2009 after twenty years of teaching from his front room. Plays in a jazz trio most Friday nights.
