Nine hundred seats, a stage you can see from every one of them, and acoustics designed before anyone had a microphone. It was a cinema for forty years and nearly a car park for two. We are very glad it isn't.
Doors on Woodward. Registration is in the lobby, and it takes about ninety seconds.
Detroit Metropolitan (DTW) is 40 minutes by cab, about $55. The Michigan Flyer coach runs hourly to downtown for $18.
Amtrak arrives at New Center, ten minutes down Woodward on the QLine. Chicago is five and a half hours, Toronto four.
Grand Circus Park stop is ninety seconds' walk. Trams every fifteen minutes, $1.50, and free with a conference lanyard.
The Broderick garage on Witherell is a two-minute walk, $12 a day. Do not park on Woodward itself — they will tow you and they are quick about it.

Bigger rooms, quieter street, a proper breakfast. The walk back at night is well lit and takes you past the good record shop.
The cheap one, and genuinely fine — clean, plain, run by people who like the building. Shared bathrooms on two of the floors.
It is a hundred years old, so some of this is a compromise. Tell us what you need and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it.

Twelve, in the stalls, each with a companion seat next to it. Booked in advance and never released to general sale.
Live captioning on the main screen for every talk, and a hearing loop across the whole stalls. ASL interpretation on request by 1 April.
Rehearsal room C, open all day, both days. No screens, no talking, a door that closes. Nobody will ask why you are in there.
No strobes at any point. Speakers are told, and we check the slides. Peak sound sits around 85 dB and ear plugs are free at the desk.
A longer list of what we love goes out with your ticket confirmation.
