A sensor in your home knows when the house is empty, when you cook, and when you go to bed. We have designed Nimbus One so that it does not need to tell us any of that, and this page says exactly what it does tell us.
This is the complete list. If something is not on it, the device and the app do not collect it.
Take Nimbus One out of the box, join it to your Wi-Fi, and everything works without telling us you exist.
The app talks to the device directly over your own network. Apple Home, Matter, Google Home and Home Assistant all evaluate their automations on your own hub. Thresholds and alerts run on the phone. The single thing an account buys you is reading the device while you are not at home — and if you never want that, you never need one.
Sell your readings, or anything derived from them, to anyone.
Share readings with a landlord, an employer, an insurer or a utility — including where they bought the device for you. If a landlord fits one in your flat, the account is yours, not theirs.
Use readings to target advertising, ours or anyone else's.
Ship a third-party analytics or advertising SDK in the app. There are none in it today and adding one would be a breaking change we would announce first.
Infer occupancy patterns for any purpose other than showing them to you.
You can export everything the app holds as CSV from Settings → Data, without asking us and without an account. If you do have an account, the same screen deletes it and everything attached to it, immediately and without a confirmation email designed to talk you out of it.
