Our dates are deliberately small, free to attend and first-come, first-seated unless noted.
8pm · Back room
Fiddles, whistles and whoever walks in with a case. Running every second Friday since 1978.
7.30pm · Teams of six
Two pounds a head, six rounds, and a bar tab for whoever ends up least wrong.
12–5pm · All vinyl
Bring a record and we will play it between courses. Nothing after 1979; house rule.
8pm · By the fire
Ten-minute true stories, told without notes. Put your name in the jug if you have one.
9pm · Back room
Close harmony, banjo and a wooden floor that becomes the percussion section.
6.30pm · Booking needed
Four shared courses with six small pours chosen straight from the cellar.
These are the nights the regulars set their clocks by. Bank holidays sometimes move things around; the bar team always knows.
Six rounds from 7.30pm. Arrive before seven if you want the good table.
Acoustic instruments and considerate neighbours welcome from 8pm.
The chairs form a circle, the songs choose themselves, and the finish time is negotiable.
Lunch from noon, all-vinyl soundtrack, last plates at five.
The back room seats thirty for supper and holds fifty standing. We host birthdays, small weddings, album launches and wakes with equal care.
There is no hire form. Call or email the pub and a person who knows the room will talk it through.
Reserve externally for dining on event nights. Drop in without a booking if you are only here for the room.
